These people are re-enactors, members of the Ragged Victorians group in the UK. They have about 30 members of all ages from young children to the elderly. They perform in the Victorian style of mainly poor people and each play their own role, from a wide variety of occupations and lifestyles. For example the lady with the wicker basket explained that her role depicted a ~Poo Lady~ a woman who was so poor that she collected dog excrement in her basket to sell to the leather tannery.
